It's officially been summer break for a few weeks now. I got home around May 5th and gave myself a lovely two weeks before I decided to go back to work. And you know the best part?! When I went to the mall that Thursday with the bff we were walking past the mall jump & they were hiring, so I filled out an application, was interviewed, and was hired on the spot :) Yeahh, buddy! I've already completed my training there and am an official employee!! I'm available there any weeknight after 5 and anytime weekends, leaving me free for Firehouse Mon-Thursdays 9am-4pm .. woohoo. Sooo yeahh, working 7 dayssss a week ,, except the occasional day off (which only comes from the mall jump)
So here I am, working two jobs. I still hate it at Firehouse (but they're so convenient for me .. practically making my own schedule and doing my own thing since I already know how to do everything). The mall jump is something new and refreshing, and it's a LOT of fun. Even with the rude/ridiculous parents and the teens who think it's funny to be trashy .. I enjoy it over there. I'm still a little slow & learning some of the stuff, but it's a cool environment and the people I work with are great :) ... seeing as I already know some of them from high school, haha.
Soo there you go -- that's what I've been doing this summer. I've literally been working. Yuck. The only good part is that I've already seen some sisters : Kim, Kelly, & Sam ... Amanda was gonna come visit on Tuesday but now she can't :( . I'll see a lot of Sam and Olivia, I'm sure. Kim lives 10 minutes from me, but she's gonna be in Boone this summer. MaryE lives around here, but she'll be in Florida .. so who knows what'll be happening around here.
I went up to the high school last Friday and helped out with the special ed field day which was fun as always. I got to see my kids which was the first time since December :).
My brother graduates June 13 (exactly two years to the day after me!) So I'm taking off work for that. Emily's bridal shower won't be until September, so hopefully I'll make it home for school for that. Saying I didn't wanna be maid of honor was apparently rude .. so now I'm stuck. In a green dress. That's not cute. Well hopefully it'll look cuter when I see the color on the dress when all the alterations are done .. hopefully :/ . I don't mind dresses if I can pick them out and if I like them .. but leave my sister in charge and I better darn well dye my hair (Because my highlights are just so trashy .. ugh!) and I better get my nails done professionally because when I paint them they look like a child did them.
Like for real ... she better be paying if she expects me to have my hair and nails done professionally because my outta-the-box dye is about 1/10 of the prices of professional. .. lame!
ANYWAYYYY .. I'm rambling because I can't remember the last thing I wrote about and because I've lost my train of thought because I'm jamming out to Ke$ha .. gotta loveee her ♥!! hahaha
