Back to school ... ohhh Appalachian

Spring break was AWESOME! :) Ohhh I have SO many pictures to attempt to upload to the blog (Amanda uploaded them all to her FB since I deactivated for Lent).

Spring break consisted of me crashing in Amanda's room Friday, my parents getting us Saturday, and hanging out with Jerrad all day Saturday (lunch and mall), hung out with him Sunday (super target, party city, and the park all day). Sunday night my mom made us baked ziti, so we had Jerrad come over and eat with us. She interrogated Amanda and Jerrad, learned their life stories, etc. You all know how my mother is... always has to make sure the people I'm hanging out with aren't "hooligans" or "rif-raf".
Sunday night Amanda & I rented some movies, hit up dunkin donuts, and crashed at Jerrad's because he was driving us to Raleigh Monday morning. So the next morning we got Bojangles (my first ever time going there) and we were on our little roadtrip. We stopped in Burlington (after getting lost in Graham lol) to go to the Burlington Coat Factory (what kind of roadtrip can you have if you don't make random, unexpected, silly pit stops?!) and I ended up getting a pair of gold sandels that we need for recruitment... only cost me $10!! And finally we made it to Eve's! haha. Jerrad was off to Jacksonville so we said bye to our wonderful cabby ;).

Monday night Eve cooked for us .. she made Chili and cornbread muffins or whatever , haha. It was really good. Amanda and I took pictures of Eve cooking, which was funny to us. Eve's parents are awesome, too. Her dad is really funny and her mom was really cool and nice. That night Eve, Amanda, and I drove around Raleigh, saw where Eve went to school and stuff, and drove past State. We rented The Hurt Locker and went to bed by about midnight. Tuesday morning we woke up, got ready, and Eve made us breakfast (she's such a good host, haha). Then we WENT TO THE ZOOOOOO!!!!!!! We left her house just after 10 (which was our goal) and made it to Asheboro around 11:45.. and GUESS WHAT?!?! ... THERE WAS AN INDOOR COOKOUT!! We ate lunch INSIDE Cookout! How crazy is that?!?!?! SOOO COOOL! haha .. sorry about the all caps, I was excited! The zoo was AMAZING. Except when they tried to feed me to the lions while singing Sir Fidel (one of our recruitment songs). And on the way to the zoo I saw this ditch area and randomly said "You could probably put a body there and nobody would know". I'm pretty sure I creeped them out, but I think that sometimes when I pass random places where it looks like nobody goes. I guess I'm prepared if it's ever necessary , hahaha .. CREEPER!

We saw lions, flamingos, frogs having sex, some birds escaped... we saw monkeys and penguins and other awesome animals. Once again, they tried feeding me to something.. The polar bear was just sunbathing on a rock, and they told me to jump in and start swimming so the polar bear would (I have AMAZING sisters), and this random guy was like "yeah, you should totally jump in" ... ruuuuuude! hahaha

Well the zoo was AWESOME!. Wednesday we slouched around the house til about noon when Amanda finally woke up, then we all went and Anna met us at a local Subway since she's only about 20 minutes from Eve. Eve's best friend Joanna met us too (she's real sweet). We got lunch, went to the mall (OHEMGEE! Crabtree is WAY better than Concord Mills and Northlake COMBINED!). Then Eve brought Amanda and I to the train station so we could go back to Concord. The train was late, so we called Anna and she brought Amanda and I to McDonalds :) haha. The train was CRAZY! We met a guy that asked if we smoked pot and Amanda was like, "not today...?" and apparently he wanted a bowl, but we obviously didn't have one .. sketchy! On the train we met a guy who's FIJI at ECU and we talked to him for about an hour or so until he got off at G-boro. Then we talked to a guy next to me who said he was in the "roofing" business. I thought he said "roofie" business, so I asked him what his price was (kidding around, of course)... yeah, I felt dumb, lol. I also used the term "shit-faced" since Amanda will be turning 21 next month (I said .. "you gonna get yourself shit-faced for your birthday?") well, this older (mid 60s african american) woman asked me what the term meant, and I explained to her that it means "pretty much, drunk beyond belief, possibly becoming sick, but hopefully not that bad off". She proceeded to tell me that they had a different term for that when she was growing up.. hahahahaaa .. ohhh I loved the people on the train.

Weeeeellllll eventually we made it back to Concord that evening. Thursday Amanda and I WERE having a lazy day, but Christina ended up coming over in tears about some ridiculous issue with her boyfriend (he forgot they were hanging out so he was with a friend until he had to go to work... not that big of a deal, love). She wanted to get out and do something, so went up to Robinson since school was almost out .. to pick up Randi. And in the meantime, I brought Amanda and introduced her to Ms. Langley, and we ended up talking for nearly an hour. She got to see my tattoo, we drew all over her board, and we chatted with some of her students until she kicked us out, hahahaa ... we were discussing inappropriate topics with one of her students, hahahaa. ohh well. gotta love her :).

We went to AC Moore while waiting on Randi to get out of play practice, then we went to Target where we saw Ms. Koehl picking up makeup ... that would happen, lol. I saw SO many former teachers at Target that day .. it was INSANE haha. That night Kim met Amanda and I at Applebees (yay that yet another sister lives near me!) and we went to see Cop Out and Concord Mills... FUNNY FREAKIN' MOVIE!! Ahh it was SO good! haha. Wowww I've written SO MUCH already!
Friday was a LAZY day. We didn't leave the house (sorry, but this whole no-license thing SUCKS!!!! gosssshh I gotta learn to behave myself!). We watched the OC most of the day since I have it on DVD hahaha
Saturday we came back to Boone in the early afternoon and I just kinda hung around waiting on the roomies to come back.

And that, my friends, was spring break... and that was the abridged version, haha. Okie dokie, that's my blog update. I'm gonna try posting another one with some pictures. This whole no-facebook thing is killing me too because it's the only way I know how to upload pictures to the blog. Umm... I'll figure it out another time. I'm still trying to upload them to my myspace .. failing miserably (it's so weird to be back on myspace, but other than Skype and yahoo messenger, it's the only thing keeping me sane without facebook)

Well, time to meet some ladies for dinner then formal chapter tonight.. whoopdee dooo! :]
