A LOT has happened since the last time I wrote in here... and I still haven't added those Jason Mraz pictures - SORRY!!
It's only been about a week, but there's so much going on. Saturday was officially my last day at Firehouse. I was scheduled 11-4, and as soon as I left I had Laura calling me from the Firehouse in the mall asking if I could close ... that was an opportunity I wasn't going to pass up. And look how lucky I am now... Justin (the owner of the Firehouse I work at and about 5 others) is going to transfer me to the mall next summer... and pay me to come home over Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc to work.. at the mall! Ah, that's gonna be funnn! When you're a cashier there, that's all you do.. the register. You do one thing and don't have to be interrupted with a million other tasks. It's much busier at the mall, which is something else I love. I won't be crazy about working for Laura because I can only take so much of working for her,,, but as long as I remind myself that I need to buy a car, I'll be okay :]
I'm ending summer with $2500 in the bank, so that's not too shabby... I'll probably get some kind of job at school this year, though. Maybe I'll go to Subway since I already know how to do the whole sub-making thing...
Anyway, this week has been fun. For Randi's birthday we went to see The Hangover (my 3rd time seeing it) since she can finally see Rated R movies. Then we went to BWW for karaoke night! That's always fun... me, her, and Christina sang Mayberry by Rascal Flatts, and it was a blast! Once BWW closed we went over to McDonalds and they made us some coffeee for free! And a couple of cute guys gave us their numberrr (of course, they ended up texting Ashley and said if we weren't gonna sleep with them then not to bother calling.. jerks!). I ended up getting home around 1:30am... it was an early nighttt. Then a few days later Ashley, Me, Christina, and Aaron went to Northcross for some bowlingg! Another early night - We were home by 11:30 since Ashley has a curfew (sometimes I forget that she's 16, haha... so young for a senior, just like I was).
Yesterday Ashley and I went to Dorton Park and were walking the disk golf trail when we realized that if we cut through the field in the back and all the tall grass and thorns, we could end up under the bridge (you know,, like the bridges people drive on). There was a ton of cool graffiti down there) and there was this little pond-like thing,, but it was probably just water collected from the recent storming. It was really pretty and natury... a really relaxing place, even though the traffic noise was ridiculously loud! haha.
My uncle was recently diagnosed with throat cancer and just had a feeding tube put in about a week or two ago since he can't eat anymore. So my mom decided we should go visit them last night, and they live about a 5 minute walk from Lake Norman in Huntersville (Cornelius... near Birkdale Village). I brought Ashley along so we could check out the rich people houses and chill at the lake, which ended up being a ton of fun.
All of the pictures are uploaded on Facebook, but I'll try doing another post right now with some of the pictures and videos... this blog makes uploading pictures impossible.. it takes FOREVER! But I think I can do it.... :]
