Yay, it's break! I have been home since about noon on Tuesday, and it feels great to have completed my first semester of college! Tuesday, I went to the basketball game & although the jv girls lost (they played rather poorly, unfortunately), the varsity ladies stepped it up and brought the win! Varsity hadn't been doing so great for most of their game, but they really picked it up.
Wednesday, I did quite a bit of errands. I woke up early for the DMV - finally got myself to get a state ID - yeah, gave up the dream of ever legally (key word) driving. Mom & I went to Ihop (my first real meal - and it was a restaurant!), and I had to swing by the post office to mail some packages. After that, I was able to relax and just lounge around the house for a few hours. Mom & I went to Mike's ROTC awards night. Although he isn't in the class until next semester, he received a promotion (not sure the technical military term), and we're proud of the little booger. Today (Thursday) was another fun day. A few of us went up to Robinson (at 8:45am - ugh!), and we spent the day with the EC department. It was fun. I had a few other people to see, so I was in and out of the room, but it's okay... I visit enough & there were others to hang out in the room with the kids. Tonight was another basketball game. JV girls impressed me - they did very well. They played the game and kept their opponents under 10 points the entire game. I'm fairly certain the final score was 27-8 (West Charlotte definitely only scored 8 points). Unfortunately, Varsity ladies were creamed. The first few minutes was back to back scoring (They scored, we scored, they scored, we scored...). Eventually, they got ahead of us at roughly 18-4 and only in the first quarter. We began stepping it up in the end, but not enough to save us from a 40-point defeat. The final score was West Charlotte in the 70s and us in the 30s... Ah!
As for tomorrow - I'm sleeping in! Hopefully, that is. I haven't slept past 8am in the past few days, so I'm hoping I didn't force myself into a routine!
Ohh, and I am pretty excited about a Christmas present I just received - a new journal! Ahh, I love writing :] . Thank youuu!
