Poetry...

Try to understand that the poems I'm about to share are about ten times better when you read them with the images I have put them with. Because most of my poetry (and probably all I'm sharing) is based off of stanzas, I'm going to capitalize the titles... that way you'll know where one poem has ended and the other has begun. Have fun reading :)

ROMANCE
An interesting young man
Of twenty seven years
Has an intense pair of eyes
That can diminish your fears.

With a gaze unlike his peers,
He will brighten up your day.
He is always full of help
In every single way.

Cheering you on at your games,
His special place in the crowd,
He is the one you will hear,
His voice is booming, so loud.

Not afraid to speak his mind,
Hates seeing others upset.
He's a fantastic person,
The one you never forget!

UNTITLED
A lack of innocence
is carefully hidden
in this tangled mess
known as my nightmare.

Memories are flooding, and
thoughts are racing through
my much too cluttered mind.
If only they knew...

I finally crack as
regrets start seeping out
and questions pour in.
When will this torment end?

My sanity disappears.
I hope and pray for justice
and strength in not knowing
what is soon to come.

I HAVE SOMETHING TO TELL YOU, TEACHER
I have something to tell you, teacher;
Please listen with an open ear.
It is something of great importance,
There's nothing wrong; do not fear.

Contemplating the work you must do
Some students will speak on your behalf
Most won't understand your hard work
They'll just turn their backs and laugh.

I would like to share my opinion;
My own personal performance review:
You are doing a fantastic job
For a teacher who is so brand new.

Your smile is so unique and welcoming
Your intentions to do well, so sincere.
Through many eye, you can do no wrong.
Are you hearing this message, loud and clear?

You have made a few mistakes, but
you've brightened up the days of many.
You, like others, have given Fs, but
don't forget about the successful plenty.

I may not recall all that you have taught,
But there were valuable lessons learned.
So in my own archive of teachers,
A true gold star is what you have earned.

THE BEAUTY OF THE WORLD
The beauty of the world appears
When the lights go out, and
The darkness of the earth sets in

It is only then we see the stars;
They shine so brightly during the night.
So simple, so amazing they are.

Roads become empty;
No more desperate cars are
Rushing to find where they belong.

The children are asleep,
Dreaming their sweet dreams;
They are safe at home, for now.

The beauty of the world appears
When the lights go out, and
The darkness of the earth sets in

IMPERFECTION
Sea green eyes will sparkle from a distance
But once that space has been lessened,
Only a cloudy glistening remains.

Visible are the brushed away tears
And the soggy-tissue residue.
You can no longer hide the sorrow.

Burning emotions have damaged your face
Your crippled body has become a public display;
Alone in this feeling, there is no place to turn.

The beating of your heart no longer matters.
No safe haven to run, you can not hide.
Your imperfections have emerged for all to see.

I have tons more poetry, but this is all I feel like sharing for now. Some if it is silly pieces that we wrote in class, but I'll share that later. I'm going to type up another blog with one of my favorite essays...
